NEW POETRY CONTEST!

(Draggable!)

Welcome to The Christian Perspective
The Christian Perspective is a newsletter designed to look at today’s issues from a Christian point of view. Though some might find this periodical quite controversial it will give reason for frank discussions and good Biblical studies.

A Periodical Where We Dare to Say The Truth!

The type of topics that will be discussed in "The Christian Perspective" will include issues of homosexuality, same sex marriages and general Christian behaviour. "The Christian Perspective" will also deal with political issues without becoming a political paper. To spank or not to spank a child will surely be among the topics discussed. Obviously shacking up and race relations will have to be addressed.

The celebration of holidays will be pursued in such a manner as to question the intents of those concerned. Determining who Christ is and His purposes will become a great focus point in this newsletter. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is a must for study and discussion.

"The Christian Perspective" will also challenge Christians to be Christians. It will establish a standard based on the Word of God, in effect, demanding that the Christian live accordingly. Denominational differences are not relative and play no role according to the Bible. In that regard, some of the discussion will not only raise eyebrows but cause uproar among some.

This is the reason that essays and articles found in "The Christian Perspective" will be based on Scripture. The book of James teaches that we should study to show ourselves approved unto God, workmen needing not to be ashamed but rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

This is also where many of the saints fall short. They are unwilling to study. Many excuses are made to that end but holding no water whatsoever. This cavalier attitude produces casual Christians who become stagnant and eventually backslide. This casual Christian has a form of Godliness but has no power.

This is a foretaste of things to come on Christian ethics portion of "The Christian Perspective." You see, if a Christian has no ethics based on the Word of God then his ethics are futile.

While "The Christian Perspective" is not and never will be a political paper certain governmental issues will be brought to the front. The little Cuban boy, Elian Gonzalez, the abortion issue and gun control will be the types of political issues visited. It is understood that some political issues stir controversy not only in the political realm but in the Christian community as well. This is what will make this paper unique. While it is not and will never be the intent of this paper to stir controversy it will happen merely because of the view points of the editor.

Aside from articles "The Christian Perspective" will feature missing people, wanted people and any other possible aids to locate those law enforcement maybe seeking. Crossword puzzles and other things to do may be found. Additionally, there will be advertisements for business at very competitive rates. This periodical is bound to make a difference within and without the Christian community.

Having said this, brace yourselves and get ready for the Word of God to come in an unadulterated form. Be ready to hear what is effecting this nation for the good and the bad. Make ready for flat-footed, soul searching and rewarding articles designed to bring man back to the foot of the cross. Get ready for the ride!

Christian Ethics

This portion of "The Christian Perspective" will focus on the way Christians should behave. While it is not the intention of the editor to tell people what to do it is intended for Christians consider their actions.

Topics such as dating, premarital sex and a host of other topics will be visited in this section of the newsletter. It is designed to have the Christian consider his actions and focus on the thing of God. It is indeed where the rubber meets the road.

But these are the obvious issues that face Christianity today. The intent of the heart, mind processes and the like will also be explored. No stone will be unturned and no subject taboo. If the Word of God addresses the issue so will "The Christian Perspective." The reason ethics will be of great issue in this periodical is because one proclaiming Christianity should present a like lifestyle. Ethics, no small issue with God, no small issue in this publication.

Poetry
Yes, there is a softer side to "The Christian Perspective." While the Word of God is a very serious matter Christians can be lighthearted. Some poetry will be of a comical nature and some more serious. No matter the nature of the poems they will be reflective of God’s concern for His people. Consider for a moment the Song of Solomon. While there are some very light-hearted moments, the love that God has for us can not help but be seen. Poetry, it is a lovely thing to have but how much better when the love of God is emitting from the poets pen.
